entire machine in one go. We also liked the fact that you can instantly see
the login items on your Mac which can reveal erroneous entries that may be
slowing down your startups. On the downside, Lion Cache Cleaner leaves behind
the package receipt and . plist file when uninstalled and the overall

Each album is then obviously separated into each group and artist. The
quality of the downloads varies however - some are little more than
thumbnails whereas others are in high resolution. The major drawback for most

re-indexes after that, waiting for idle periods to make sure its search stays
up to date on your documents. The file indexing schedule is *completely
customizable*. Copernic Desktop Search interface has lots of ads - which it
euphemistically calls 'web results' - and you can't get rid of them. That's
not the case with the other aspects of the interface - there is a main search
box and results are displayed under tab-like icons that allow you to refine
by *music, files, images* and more. Once you select a certain area - say
emails - you can *refine further* by date/size, etc. All of these options are
customizable, and there are additional search options in the Copernic Desktop
Search taskbar and in a toolbar on your web browser. Undoubtedly the most
important aspect of any desktop search app is the results. Copernic Desktop
Search was *incredibly fast*, but sometimes missed results that seemed
obvious. Results improved when we manually updated the index, which makes us
think that special attention is required when configuring the indexing
options. In its favor, Copernic Desktop Search results are easy to see and
classify, and the multiple refining options make sifting through large
numbers of documents very easy. If you don't have that much to index however,
Copernic Desktop Search doesn't seem a huge improvement on alternative search

*MetaX* saves you a lot of time and typing by *tagging your movie collection*

metadata from the TagChimp database. You can then select your preferred

.torrent files and convert them to .atorrent. Anomos is *based on the
peer/tracker concept of BitTorrent* but also in combination with an onion
routing anonymization layer. Added to the end-to-end encryption, this creates
a highly secure download network. In theory, no one will be able to detect
the P2P file exchanges as they would be able with a normal P2P client. Anomos
is extremely easy to use. It uses *Python*, however, to open the main
interface which looks very basic and can be very unresponsive. Sometimes it
takes a few clicks to get Anomos to respond to browse the the correct folder

makes Delicious Library stand out from other cataloging software is how it
lets you add items to your catalog, either via Bluetooth or by using your
integrated iSight camera. This last one is a little tricky, as you need to
hold up the bar code right, however once done on a few items you get the hang
of it and it works really well. It's a shame that Delicious Library only
works with Amazon. On the other hand this means it has access to information
on thousands of items. You'll also be able to buy and sell items directly via
Amazon. If you don't want to use iSight or Bluetooth, start typing the name
of your item, Delicious Library should find it on Amazon and fill in all the
information for you. The only real drawback to me is handling lent items,

similar format to eMule but its makers claim it can offer significant

material. There's no doubt that Vuze offers some *spectacularly fast download
times* but this comes at a price. Mainly the fact that Vuze is extremely
bloated and tries to install two toolbars when you install it. On the upside,
because Vuze is an open source project, there is a *large community of
programmers, designers and users who are continually testing and improving
it* and there's an excellent FAQ. You receive *comprehensive stats* about
every file that's downloaded with Vuze (most of which will mean nothing to
you though) but most importantly it gives you the all important *Estimated
Time of Arrival* and *Share Ratio* which tells you how much of a particular
file you have uploaded or given back to the community. Apparently, in a
perfect world, every file should have a share ratio of two which means for
each file you download, two users download it from you. Possibly the most
notable feature of Vuze, however, is the *media website that's embedded* into
the application. It looks like an entertainment website and that's pretty
much what it is only the entertainment can be downloaded via Vuze. These
include *gameshows, user generated content, sports* and more. Vuze has a
rather overwhelming interface as a result. It's far more bloated than other
P2P clients such as uTorrent and Transmission. It takes some getting used to
at first the upside is that it is much more customisable than most Mac P2P
apps. For example, if you want to configure Vuze to work only with a VPN, you
can do unlike uTorrent and Transmission. *Vuze is generally an excellent P2P
application that may be a bit more bloated than most but works well and has

will be separated by type (image, video, audio) and can be stored in
different groups. Once a file is downloaded you can have Xtorrent
automatically store it somewhere, such as place audio files in iTunes.
Torrents can be managed individually and Xtorrent offers both a progress bar
and bottom information window to keep you updated on all the stats relating
to the torrent. I enjoyed the torrentcast feature, which is ideal to download
new episodes of a file being released regularly. If there's one thing that's
missing from Xtorrent, it's the ability to create your own trackers, a
feature now available in most torrent clients. I also felt the interface
could get a little crowded with many downloads running. Overall though,
Xtorrent is a clever torrent client with a great search tool and a cool

If you manually backup folders, or perhaps transfer files from portable
devices to your HDD regularly, FreeFileSync is a great application for doing
the job effectively and efficiently. While FreeFileSync won't win any beauty
contests, FreeFileSync's interface is super functional. Drag and drop folders
you want to compare or synchronize, the click the fat buttons to start the
process. Compare simply brings up any differences in the two folders, while
synchronizing can be done in a variety of ways. 'Two way' will copy or update
files from both folders to each other (so both are identical afterwards),
'mirror' overwrites the right folder with the left's content, while 'update'
just copies new or updated files to the right folder. FreeFileSync does its
job excellently. It is not automated, but it's quick and easy to use, and
asks just the right number of questions before anything happens, so you won't
lose files accidentally. You can tell it to use the recycle bin too, just to

to hot and new content. Vuze takes the web 2.0 road and you'll see that most
of the files have tags. You can write out a comment and leave a rating. The
program also makes it a no brainer to send a video by email and link to
content directly from your blog or website. Additionally, there are social
bookmarking links for each file. Downloading torrents is as simple as using
the search bar, which the gives you options to search the Vuze site and
results from the major bittorent sites such as Btjunkie. You can also easily
add more sites to that list if you wish. We won't expand on the qualities
of the Azureus client, for which you can read a review here. Vuze tries to
innovate by adding social tools to the program and providing legal content in

to worry about anyone accessing your PC without permission either – a popup
requesting permission from you alerts you before any information is
exchanged. The only real drawbacks of Crossloop are that as yet, it doesn't
