*ARMED!* is a turn-based science fiction strategy game for Windows 8's touch
interface. The premise of ARMED! is simple. *Build up defenses around your
base and destroy your opponent's*. There is a detailed tutorial where it will
take you through a full round of the game, explaining every aspect of the
game from resource management to attach strategy. *The graphics are mediocre
and performance was a bit laggy*. Since this is still a preview, there is
still plenty of time for the developers of ARMED! to polish it. Controls for
ARMED! work well with touch and mouse, though *touch is definitely the
preferred method of control*. Gameplay of ARMED! is also fun but *can get
tedious* if you prefer real time strategy (RTS) games. You will find yourself
waiting to play short rounds. You will *spend a majority of your time
prepping moves for your next round*. ARMED! should really have longer rounds
so you're not spending more time preparing than witnessing the action.
