A Story About My Uncle-An atmospheric 3D platform game with no violence

*A Story about my Uncle* is a free first person platform game, where you play
a child in search of his uncle. Made by Swedish students, it's surprisingly
good looking, and gives you an enjoyable hour. You begin in your Uncle's
deserted house, but soon discover a powerful suit and are pursuing him in a
strange other world. Your suit has power jumps, leaps and an excellent
grapple beam that sends you swinging through the game's huge caverns. You get
power-ups as you progress, which make ever more complicated combinations of
swings possible. A Story About My Uncle is easy to pick up and play, but it
quickly gets quite tricky. Luckily it's lots of fin to play, and when you
fall into the depths, you restart very close, so you don't have to repeat too
much. The game runs for about an hour, unless you get really stuck, and it's
the exploration and movement that will keep you going more than the story,
which is a little too cute. The sound is pretty good throughout, and A Story
About My Uncle's graphics are mixed. The caves look very pretty, but the
character models are really basic, and seem out of place in the great looking
environments. The change in mood from gentle to tense is really good - a
confrontation with a monster near the end is really well done. *A Story About
My Uncle isn't the best grapple based platform game ever, but it's lots of
fun, and the level of difficulty makes it satisfying to finish.*Download *A
