*The Walking Dead* is a new adventure from TellTale, the makes of the recent
Strong Bad, Back to the Future and Sam & Max games. Based on the original
comics, rather than the AMC series, it follows a man named Lee Everett who is
on his way to prison when the zombie apocalypse begins. This episodic game is
like an action point-and-click adventure. While conversation and puzzles are
important, there will be zombies, and you'll have to fight them off. Unlike
earlier TellTale games, in The Walking Dead when you make choices in
conversation trees, you cannot unmake them. Rather like Mass Effect, you have
to live with the choices you make during the game. Hopefully this will make
it easier to feel invested in the characters of the story. In terms of style,
The Walking Dead has a cartoon cell-shaded look, making it feel like a living
comic book. It's a zombie game, and is just as gory and violent as you'd
expect. The voice acting sounds really good so far, and the sound effects are
gruesomely effective! *The Walking Dead is a promising series from a
developer that has done more than any other recently to reignite interest in
