*Download Accelerator Manager* (also known as *DAM*) is a free internet
download manager that will help manage and speed up your downloads. If you
download frequently but don't use a download accelerator or manager, you
should think again. They can really make downloading a much easier and better
organized experience. Add downloads to Download Accelerator Manager by
copying and pasting the URL, using the Download with DAM option in the
context menu that appears when you right click on a link, or dragging links
to the icon that appears when you enable browser integration. The Download
Accelerator Manager interface makes it easy to see download statuses.
Crucially, the app includes lots of little features that make managing
downloads much easier - you can pause, auto-sort files, use proxies, auto
shutdown after downloading and much more. The Download Accelerator Manager
configuration options are extensive and should be able to meet pretty much
every need that arises. If you have used DAP, you'll notice the similarities
to Download Accelerator Manager, with a few notable exceptions. Download
Accelerator Manager is a little more old-fashioned to look at, and the help
available is not very complete. Even though we think that DAP is the best
download manager around, Download Accelerator Manager is still a great
