you couldn't attain normally. We're glad to see significant improvements in
version 5, a real step up from the previous iteration. Images can now be
scaled up 1,000% thanks to a new algorithm, although you'll get excellent
results at 500 or 600. We also see big improvements in the interface, which
looks much sleeker and blends in particularly well to Photoshop CS6's look.
The plugin works faster, 10 times as much claims the developer. You'll find
significant upgrades in the tools and features of Perfect Resize like robust
layer support, new sharpening and film grain. The plugin also adds built-in
sharpening to improve scaled images. Most of the new features are a
improvement, however we did feel that Perfect Resize did not handle
semi-transparent areas and hard edges as well as we'd expect. The only real
drawback of the plugin is its price though. At 143,95 Euros it's a really
expensive investment to make just for a plugin. *Version 7 of Perfect Resize
is a significant upgrade with better scaling, more features and a sleeker

these conditions are reflected in an customizable animated background –
which you can replace with your own photos as well. YoWindow includes the
*weather forecast* for the next three days. You can click on each day to
access the information right away, or move the timeline on top to check how
weather conditions change as hours go by – and also see beautiful sunsets
and dawns. The program can be set as your default screensaver as well.
Generally speaking, YoWindow is a surprisingly nice weather forecast tool,
though I missed having more landscape designs to use as background. Another
annoying detail was not to be able to scroll down the list of countries and
cities with your mousewheel when choosing a location. *YoWindow is an

*FlipToast* is an elegant AIR-based desktop client for *Facebook* with which
you can easily keep track of all notifications, wall posts, private messages,
shared links and more. The client's interface is actually a toolbar that
sits on one side of your screen and which you can hide at any time. From
there you can access your friends' activity on Facebook, check private
messages, update your status and even use the Facebook chat. One feature that
we especially liked was the ability to upload photos to Facebook just by
dragging and dropping them on the FlipToast interface. FlipToast also lets
you write on your friends' walls without having to visit their individual
Facebook profiles and displays desktop notices for each new item added to
your newsfeed. This last feature however seems to need a bit of development,
as we kept on receiving notices for the same events over and over again.
Despite this minor flaw, FlipToast is still one of the most eye-catching,
easy-to-use desktop Facebook clients we've tried. *Keep track of your

featuring 20 remote controlled mini cars, missiles, mines, turbo boosts and

you unlock them by gaining credits via race wins. You can customize them with
weapons and turbos and even change the wheels of your racing car. There are
24 tracks in total and you can choose circuit races (round tracks with just 5
laps) and sprint races (more varied but with no race rules). Finally,
there's a coin racing mode where you can explore the level and collect
coins for the customization store. The most fun you can have is using weapons
to win the race by shooting and bombing opponents from the track. There are
also some pretty fun high speed tracks which severely test your driving
skills. There are many cash incentives throughout the game for best laps,
most kills, ramp jumps and best race times etc. There are 4 difficulty modes
with insane mode being the hardest and virtually unplayable. Finally, RC Mini
Racers runs in both windowed and fullscreen mode and you can tweak the detail
in Graphics settings and even add a joystick. You can buy virtual coins from
within the game if you need money to pimp up your car if you find yourself
unable to win races and pimp up your car. *RC Mini Racers is a fun game,

AirAttack 1.0-Great graphics, frantic action and classic gameplay

*AirAttack* is a vertical shoot 'em up, in the style of the classic arcade
franchise *1942*. AirAttack was first released on iOS to compete with other
similar games such as the excellent *Space Invaders Infinity Gene*. AirAttack
is a great addition to the pool. You control a WWII style plane as it flies
through wave after wave of enemy aircraft and ground vehicles. There's
nothing new about that, but it's done with great style. AirAttack is
presented in quasi-3D, with bright and detailed graphics. While it's
impressive to look at, the bullets and rockets you need to avoid are all very
clear. The game is split into stages, and between them you can upgrade your
plane in a shop (of course!). There are end and mid level boss battles, some
great set pieces like an enemy train you have to bomb. AirAttack has
excellent options too - you can choose from four controls, tilt, d-pad and
two types of touch control. There are three difficulty levels. If you have an
older device, you can even lower the graphics settings. The sound is also
excellent, with good effects and an orchestral score. *AirAttack is a great
arcade shoot 'em up. With it's excellent graphics and impressive set pieces,
this is the ideal foil to the minimalism of Space Invaders Infinity

is impressive, with truly enormous maps, and hundreds of players fighting at
the same time. The combination of large air and land forces fighting over
these big alien planets is really attractive. The drama and experiences that
are possible with a game on this scale sound excellent. Planetside 2 looks
good, with beautiful alien landscapes and impressively large structures. It's
not quite up to Warface, but it's polished enough. I'm really looking forward

RarZilla Free Unrar 4.80-An alternative way to decompress RAR files

WinRAR is an incredibly powerful archiver but it's not exactly the best
looking app in the world. *RarZilla Free Unrar* attempts to decompress files
in a "sexier"way plus add a few cool features to your zipping. To decompress
a file, you simply drag and drop them into RarZilla Free Unrar, double click
on it or right click on "decompress" in the menu context shell. To speed-up
the process, RarZilla Free Unrar has the option to define a default output
folder or a default password or both. Remember that before you do any of this
though, you need to specify an output directory or else you'll end-up
searching high and low for your files. Simply go to the folder that contains
the RarZilla.exe, use notepad to create a text file named "folder.txt" and
put one line in it with the path your desired default output folder (e.g.:
F:\Media) The only annoying thing is that RarZilla Free Unrar's password
prompt dialogue keeps popping up and usually you don't want to set a
password. However, this can be deactivated by following instructions in the

Emerge Desktop 6.1-Change Windows Explorer interface for something different

Windows Explorer is not exactly the best file management system in the world
but it does its job and Windows users don't have many other options. However,
Emerge Desktop is an interface replacement for Windows Explorer that doesn't
really change the fundamental structure but does change the shell. Emerge
Desktop works by providing a system tray called emergeTray which provides
instant access to programs that are normally accessed with the Windows
"Start" menu via a right-click on the desktop, As Microsoft have moved
further towards opening up the code to Windows, Windows Explorer is one area
that is undergoing improvement by various developers and Emerge Desktop takes
advantage of this increased access to API calls. Each part of Emerge Desktop
(the tray and the taskbar) are individual executables called applets. These
applets are all optional as part of Emerge Desktop and can be run
individually on top of any other shell, including Explorer. Using Emerge
Desktop's applets is a slightly slower experience than using Windows Explorer
on its own but once you get used to it, it feels and looks a lot better.
However, it can be annoying if you want to change back to Explorer because
you have to reboot or log off to change back. To do this, just right click
anywhere on the desktop and select "Settings" and "Change Desktop Shell".

that even available in Vista although if you find yourself switching between

Dishonored Preview-Fantastic looking steampunk and stealth...

Out in October on PC, in the action game *Dishonored* you play Corvo, the
ex-bodyguard of the Empress in the city of Dunwall. Wrongly accused of her
murder, you are forced into hiding and become an assassin driven to expose
your accusers. Corvo has some help with this as he's been given supernatural
powers by a mystery force called 'The Outsider'. Dunwall is a mixture of
*British Victorian* and *steampunk* styles, so you have classic architecture
with Jules Verne-like retro-futuristic machinery. The design in the game is
fantastic, and really give Dishonored an interesting atmosphere - Dunwall is
ruled cruelly, with the poor segregated and policed by violent steampunk
man-machines. *Creative gameplay* Playing Dishonored takes some getting used
to. Corvo's powers complicate the controls, but are great fun once you get
used to them so are worth the trouble! You can stop time, possess people or
animals, use telekinesis and teleport short distances. Add traditional
weapons to this, and you have a fantastic arsenal at your command that you
can use really creatively. Like Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you are encouraged
to play the way you want. You can be as stealthy as you want to be, and as
violent. It may even be possible to beat Dishonored without killing anyone,
if you can use your powers intelligently enough. *With all the different ways
you can play Dishonored and the multiple endings, it promises to be a game
you'll be able to play through more than once. We were really looking forward
to seeing this, and so far it hasn't disappointed us. Roll on

Watch Dogs Preview-Ubisoft's exciting new sandbox game

*Ubisoft* surprised everyone when it showed *Watch Dogs* at its E3 2012
conference. A completely new title, it's an open world thriller set in
Chicago. The first thing that springs to mind is GTA IV, as it's a
third-person game set in a big city, but watching the gameplay video, you
quickly see where Watchdogs is different. The atmosphere is much darker, and
your character is some kind of agent with a device that lets him hack
communication and electronic systems. He can monitor mobile phones, search
personal data, and hack the city's Central Operating System to control
everything from stop lights to bridges. This can be used to create some
serious and creative havoc - in the demo we see a target being taken out with
an orchestrated traffic pile up. Currently there is little known about when
Watchdogs will be released, but it's sure to make gaming headlines when it

*Shaiya Phoenix* is a free to play fantasy massive multiplayer online role

solo game as you immerse yourself in a war between Light and Dark forces, or

rewarded with new weapons and armor that will help strengthen your

Ghost Recon : Future Soldier Preview-The future of 3rd person shooters?

*Ghost Recon: Future Soldier* is a 3rd person *shooter*, where you command
the Ghosts, an elite commando unit of US special forces. The game takes place
in the near future, allowing you to do battle with highly advanced weapons,
like Optical Camouflage, drones and X-Ray vision. All are great ways to get
the upper hand during battle. *Gameplay* How you approach Ghost Recon: Future
Soldier is your choice. You can launch a full frontal attack, or take a more
careful, stealthy approach? Team strategy is your choice, and will decide if
you manage to keep your team mates alive. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has a
varied pace, alternating between sneaky infiltration and frenetic gunfights.
The controls are really good, and feel very natural. You control your team
with a single button, so it's easy to pick up. *Game modes* Although the
single player campaign looks solid, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier makes more
sense when played in multiplayer. Encouraging teamwork is a constant concern
with online gaming, but Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is really trying to
reward and encourage playing the game as a team - if you're under suppressing
fire, the camera will shake, making it hard for you to respond. The best
response is a team mate taking out the enemy. There are also cooperative
multiplayer modes. *Sound and Graphics* Ghost Recon: Future Soldier looks
great, and some of the effects, like the optical camouflage look fantastic.
Weapons are really well modeled too, and the sound is what you'd expect from
a triple-A game *Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is shaping up really well, and

eXceed 2nd – Vampire REX 1.03-A Manga bullet hell shooter

*eXceed 2nd – Vampire REX* is a vertical scrolling *shoot 'em up* (shmup).
It's a 'bullet hell ' shmup - the sub genre that fills the screen with
bullets, so players have to quickly weave around them while shooting enemies
themselves. The back story of eXceed 2nd – Vampire REX is surprisingly
complex, but all gamers really need to know is how it plays. This is a fast
shoot 'em up, an features the 'polarity' mechanic: you can alternate your
polarity during the game, switching between two colors. You absorb bullets of
the same color, only having to avoid those of the other. Absorbing bullets
charges your special weapon. Unlike most Shmups, you control not a spaceship,
but a character, Ria Fyle a half-human half-vampire girl. eXceed 2nd –
Vampire REX is a Manga style game, and the graphics are bright and
cartoon-like. This game is a few years old, and it shows, but it's still very
playable and smooth. eXceed 2nd – Vampire REX is a tough game, even on the
easiest setting. You get three continues, but you can easily use them! There
are eight levels, and while that sounds like a small number, it really is
enough. Games like this are meant to be played, then played again until you
get the best performance you can manage. Hard mode in eXceed 2nd – Vampire
REX really is very tough! *I'd recommend trying the demo for eXceed 2nd –
Vampire REX, to see if it's for you. As as shoot 'em up it's good, and offers

Tomb Raider 2012 Preview-Lara's back in an all-new Tomb Raider

We got to see the upcoming new *Tomb Raider* demoed at *E3 2012*. A reboot to
the franchise, it sees a 21 year-old Lara Croft on her journey to becoming
the tough action character we know today. Lara will suffer a lot in this
game, more than Nathan Drake, and I mention him because the parallels between
this game and Uncharted are obvious. It's a cinematic *action adventure
game*, from the same perspective, although Tomb Raider does seem grittier.
The amount of punches, injuries and falls Lara suffers borders on the
ridiculous, and you'll have to get used to her cries and screams. It will be
interesting to see how her character develops as the game progresses. Tomb
Raider is billed as an pseudo-open world game, but what we saw featured a lot
of scripted moments. The levels do seem big, and have multiple paths, but the
overall direction of the game look set. Like *Uncharted*, this new Tomb
Raider looks to be more about being an enjoyable adventure rather than a
tough game, with little of the tense atmosphere and puzzle solving of the
original game. At times it feels like Far Cry with less freedom. Lara has to
learn to survive on the island she is shipwrecked on. She'll hunt deer, make
campfires and have to develop her skills, improve her powers and instincts,
and so on. Tomb Raider's graphics are impressive, with excellent animation,
and beautiful finishing touches like rainwater on the camera lens. The
production values cannot be questioned, it looks genuinely fantastic. *This
retelling of the Lara Croft origins story looks promising. Tomb Raider is
undoubtedly visually impressive and exciting, but we hope it's sufficiently
challenging too. We can't wait to play through the whole game and find out!

eXceed 3rd – Jade Penetrate Black Package 1005-Hardcore Manga style bullet hell!

*eXceed 3rd – Jade Penetrate Black Package* is a vertical scrolling *shoot

alone. Where eXceed 2nd – Vampire REX used Ikaruga's polarity gameplay,
this game removes that, instead adding drone powerups which offer an
excellent directed weapon fire when you activate 'slow mode'. This obviously
makes your character less agile, but I preferred this gameplay to that of
eXceed 2nd. In eXceed 3rd – Jade Penetrate Black Package, you control not a
spaceship, but a character, Rayne Lindwurm who's fighting her way through a
tournament to become one of the seven Cardinal Lords who rule her world (!).
This is a Manga style game, and the graphics are bright, clear and cartoony.
Despite the chaos and color onscreen, you won't lose track of what's going
on. eXceed 3rd – Jade Penetrate Black Package is a tough game, even on the
easiest setting. You get three continues, but you can easily use them all too
soon. There are six levels, each with a boss battle, and thay are more than
enough to make for a challenging game. *eXceed 3rd – Jade Penetrate Black
Package is a tough shooter, but its slow down mechanic makes threading your
way through the curtains of bullets much easier, and almost

Borderlands 2 Preview-The surprsingly successful shooter gets a sequel

*Borderlands 2* is a first person shooter with RPG leveling. It's distinctive
with it's cel-shaded graphics, over the top weaponry and characters. We saw a
*demo* of early Borderlands 2 gameplay where the player begins in a cold
wasteland, and quickly comes across some ice-dwelling monsters. These showed
off the *improved enemy AI* in the game: using their environments
intelligently, enemies don't simply attack, but will find objects to throw
at you too and try to stay on higher ground. With humanoid enemies, this
increased intelligence is even more pronounced - they work in teams to
out-flank you, retreat when wounded and more. All the battles in Borderlands
2 were reassuringly dynamic and dramatic, without feeling scripted. The range
of weaponry is really varied, with the new use-once-and-throwaway-guns called
Tediores looking really cool - they have ammunition in them, but you can also
throw them as grenades, making them very flexible. The mission demoed saw you
teaming up with a female siren in two player co-op mode, to rescue Roland, a
character from the first game. He has been captured by a large hovering
robot, hiding out in a lair guarded by weaponized mining robots. Fighting
through these as Roland is being taken away through the industrial complex,
we saw enemy backup robots being fired in from a moon base, which looked
really cool and emphasized the incredible scale. The moonbase can attack
anywhere on the planet of Pandora, run by 'Handsome Jack', who is trying to
violently bring law and order. There was plenty of macabre, violent humor
along the way, and the demo finished with the start of what looked like a big
boss battle. The player was flung off a high damn structure by an enormous
robot. Views from here, when there was time to look, were really impressive,
and the huge landscape we could see is apparently all explorable in
Borderlands 2. *Developers Gearbox were keen to make the point that they feel
many game sequels are just 'content dumps', additional levels with no
substantive changes, so they want to make Borderlands 2 a genuinely new game
with real changes, and from what I saw, they are well on the way to achieving

comes along that makes things as easy as possible, we take note. Camtasia
Studio has been available on Windows for quite some time now but developers
at Techsmith have finally given Mac users a chance to enjoy all it has to
offer. The interface is sleek, the production process straightforward, and
recording is flexible enough to allow you to make plenty of inevitable errors
without starting from scratch again. While it has not retained all the
functionality of the Windows version, the interface is considerably improved.
Camtasia for Mac divides the production process into two, using Camtasia
Studio Recorder and Camtasia Studio Producer. The former is used for doing
the all-important grabbing of the footage, such as mouse movements, program
details, accessing menus, etc. The latter is for adding audio, and editing
your footage into a coherent screencast. Finally, you can export the finished
product into various formats including AVI, QuickTime, AU, AIFF and 3G, which
makes it suitable for using on iPod, iPhone and other mobile devices. You can
also upload footage directly to sites such as YouTube and Screencast.com.

if you can use your powers intelligently enough. *With all the different ways
you can play Dishonored and the multiple endings, it promises to be a game
you'll be able to play through more than once. We were really looking forward

Borderlands 2 Preview-The surprsingly successful shooter gets a sequel

*Borderlands 2* is a first person shooter with RPG leveling. It's distinctive
with it's cel-shaded graphics, over the top weaponry and characters. We saw a
*demo* of early Borderlands 2 gameplay where the player begins in a cold
wasteland, and quickly comes across some ice-dwelling monsters. These showed
off the *improved enemy AI* in the game: using their environments
intelligently, enemies don't simply attack, but will find objects to throw
at you too and try to stay on higher ground. With humanoid enemies, this
increased intelligence is even more pronounced - they work in teams to
out-flank you, retreat when wounded and more. All the battles in Borderlands
2 were reassuringly dynamic and dramatic, without feeling scripted. The range
of weaponry is really varied, with the new use-once-and-throwaway-guns called
Tediores looking really cool - they have ammunition in them, but you can also
throw them as grenades, making them very flexible. The mission demoed saw you
teaming up with a female siren in two player co-op mode, to rescue Roland, a
character from the first game. He has been captured by a large hovering
robot, hiding out in a lair guarded by weaponized mining robots. Fighting
through these as Roland is being taken away through the industrial complex,
we saw enemy backup robots being fired in from a moon base, which looked
really cool and emphasized the incredible scale. The moonbase can attack
anywhere on the planet of Pandora, run by 'Handsome Jack', who is trying to
violently bring law and order. There was plenty of macabre, violent humor
along the way, and the demo finished with the start of what looked like a big
boss battle. The player was flung off a high damn structure by an enormous
robot. Views from here, when there was time to look, were really impressive,
and the huge landscape we could see is apparently all explorable in
Borderlands 2. *Developers Gearbox were keen to make the point that they feel
many game sequels are just 'content dumps', additional levels with no
substantive changes, so they want to make Borderlands 2 a genuinely new game
with real changes, and from what I saw, they are well on the way to achieving

Watch Dogs Preview-Ubisoft's exciting new sandbox game

*Ubisoft* surprised everyone when it showed *Watch Dogs* at its E3 2012
conference. A completely new title, it's an open world thriller set in
Chicago. The first thing that springs to mind is GTA IV, as it's a
third-person game set in a big city, but watching the gameplay video, you
quickly see where Watchdogs is different. The atmosphere is much darker, and
your character is some kind of agent with a device that lets him hack
communication and electronic systems. He can monitor mobile phones, search
personal data, and hack the city's Central Operating System to control
everything from stop lights to bridges. This can be used to create some
serious and creative havoc - in the demo we see a target being taken out with
an orchestrated traffic pile up. Currently there is little known about when
Watchdogs will be released, but it's sure to make gaming headlines when it

*Virtual Hairstudio* is a desktop app for Windows PCs that lets users
*preview virtual hairstyles*. Let's face it. Everyone's received a terrible
haircut at some point in their lives. Virtual Hairstudio is a tool that helps
you avoid such fashion fiascoes. Marketed for hair salons, but usable by
pretty much anyone, Virtual Hairstudio works a bit like a photo editing
program, with preset hairstyles available to paste on a model, or even a
picture of yourself. In this way, you can check out potential new looks
before going under the knife -- or scissors, as it were! Virtual Hairstudio
provides *hundreds of hairstyles to choose from*. Each hairstyle also comes
with additional information, such as a preview, identification number and
description. Pick and choose the hairstyles you like, and even add the best
ones to your favorites list so you can easily return to them again before
your next trip to the hair stylist. In addition, Virtual Hairstudio offers
some other nice perks, like *make-up advice*, the ability to *import your own
hairstyles*, and *color adjustments*. The graphics could be a little better
in Virtual Hairstudio. Learning how to use the program to its fullest will
also pose a bit of a challenge for new users. The demo version of Virtual
Hairstudio limits users from uploading their own pictures, and only offers 20
different hairstyles to try out. *Virtual Hairstudio is a fun way to preview

Tomb Raider 2012 Preview-Lara's back in an all-new Tomb Raider

We got to see the upcoming new *Tomb Raider* demoed at *E3 2012*. A reboot to
the franchise, it sees a 21 year-old Lara Croft on her journey to becoming
the tough action character we know today. Lara will suffer a lot in this
game, more than Nathan Drake, and I mention him because the parallels between
this game and Uncharted are obvious. It's a cinematic *action adventure
game*, from the same perspective, although Tomb Raider does seem grittier.
The amount of punches, injuries and falls Lara suffers borders on the
ridiculous, and you'll have to get used to her cries and screams. It will be
interesting to see how her character develops as the game progresses. Tomb
Raider is billed as an pseudo-open world game, but what we saw featured a lot
of scripted moments. The levels do seem big, and have multiple paths, but the
overall direction of the game look set. Like *Uncharted*, this new Tomb
Raider looks to be more about being an enjoyable adventure rather than a
tough game, with little of the tense atmosphere and puzzle solving of the
original game. At times it feels like Far Cry with less freedom. Lara has to
learn to survive on the island she is shipwrecked on. She'll hunt deer, make
campfires and have to develop her skills, improve her powers and instincts,
and so on. Tomb Raider's graphics are impressive, with excellent animation,
and beautiful finishing touches like rainwater on the camera lens. The
production values cannot be questioned, it looks genuinely fantastic. *This
retelling of the Lara Croft origins story looks promising. Tomb Raider is
undoubtedly visually impressive and exciting, but we hope it's sufficiently
challenging too. We can't wait to play through the whole game and find out!

Graboid is an application for streaming and downloading video. Its servers
host over 150000 videos of movies and TV shows, updated regularly and each
available for up to 240 days. Users have to register, which is just a case of
giving an email and user name, then you're off. Graboid claims not to
infringe any copyright laws, although it's worth noting that as it lets you
download full and recent movies for free, users should be careful what they
are using Graboid for. The range of shows and films available is impressive,
and the streaming is good, although it tends to make the program lag a
little. Downloading video is extremely fast, basically as fast as your
connection will allow. The video player in the browser is slow in general,
but any downloaded content can be played in outside Graboid, so that's not a
huge problem. The free account is limited to 30 days and 4 gigabytes of
downloads. After this it's necessary to sign up for paid account to continue
usage. The program is easy to use, but suffers from slowdown a lot, which can
result in accidental downloads, if you're impatiently clicking while Graboid
catches up with what you're doing. Downloads we tried were about 90%
successful - occasionally some failed to open after completion. *Graboid is
an interesting service which is mostly let down by the application's slow
speed and the issue of whether users are acting legally by downloading
content from it, although the downloads are impressively fast.*Download

*Google Drive* is a cloud storage and file management program. Here you can
download Google Drive for Windows which allows you to sync and upload files
from your desktop. Previously Google had a variety of different services that
connected to each other. Now Google has released Google Drive which*
integrates Google Docs*, *Google+*, *and a cloud storage service into on*e.
While Gmail and Google+ are still separate from Drive, Google Docs was
renamed to Drive with the addition of a free 5 GB of online storage. Like
Dropbox, it adds a shortcut to your Windows Explorer so you can drag-and-drop
files. Once added, they are uploaded to your online account. *Any type of
file can be uploaded* and are then accessible through the currently available
Android app or online. The integration of storage with documents allows you
to work with larger assets like images and video. *Friends can comment* on
anything you have uploaded, adding another level of social interaction. Drive
is comparable to other cloud storage services, but the added connection to
your Google account makes the unified system much easier to use. You can

scan pendrives once they are inserted. From the main interface, you'll also
see an option to repair your system (which are just a selection of basic
tools already provided by Windows). The home button provides an overview of
the app's services. In theory, Free USB Disk Security is a great idea and an
excellent free tool, but in reality *it's very, very difficult to tell if
it's doing anything useful.* When we did scan, it was extremely quick - to
the extent that we weren't sure if it had even scanned. As for the
monitoring, Free USB Disk Security claims the protection is real time, but
when we inserted a USB stick, it didn't even tell us it had registered the

doing anything useful, we'd prefer to rely on a standard antivirus program
